Long before Obi Pelle carried its own name, our family, under the Al Amin Groupe, spent decades manufacturing leather goods for international private label brands, the kind of companies that put their own name on leather our hands had shaped, then sold it abroad at prices far beyond what the craftsmanship itself ever earned us.

That work built something no business plan could manufacture on its own: a genuine, deep understanding of what global brands demand from leather, refined over thirty years of meeting standards set an ocean away.

Obi Pelle exists because we finally asked a simple question. If our hands were good enough to build bags for someone else's name, why not build them for our own?

Full grain leather, the outermost and strongest layer of the hide, ages with a depth few materials can match. Vegetable tanned leather, worked through slow, natural processes rather than harsh chemicals, rewards patience with a richness that only deepens over years of use. A pull up finish shifts and lightens where it's handled most, quietly recording the story of how you actually live with the piece.
